Learning about china its history and culture was very interesting. One think that I found interesting was to see the difference between the Western Roman Empire and how china regained its unity under the Sui dynasty.
During a time china was one of the most urbanized country in the world.
I also found interesting how Strayer mentions that Confucian writers highlighted the subordination of women to men and the need to keep males and females separate in every domain of life. It was interesting to see how the gender roles where adapted in the past. It was interesting to see how masculinity was adapted.
The whole china culture was interesting to learn what they country went through in regards with Korea and Vietnam.

It was nice to see how the development of Christianity expanded throughout Europe and it became the European faith.it is nice to see how people adapted the Christian faith and how Muslims marked the replacement of the old religion by using the pillars of a demolished Christian cathedral. It reminds me a lecture we once had in my religion class. Because Islam and Judaism are branches of Christianity so it was interesting to learn how many of the religions have some type of connections. I also enjoyed reading bout Egyptian Christianity and how the African Christianity was taking over certain places. The Christian faith has expanded a lot and I feel that there is a lot of branches to it .For example, the expansion of the orthodox Christianity and how it was expanded towards the Ukraine and western Russia. It is nice to see how civilizations expanded and how the faith grew in many places. Its interesting to see how far civilization has come compared to the past and how they did many thinks with few resources.

Chapter 21,22,23, This week reading was interesting learning about the war and how the Europeans believed the war would be done soon yet it took about four years before ending in German. It was interesting to read how the war brought the Europeans and Americans social and cultural change. 1) “Hallmark Five: We Embrace the Gift Of Diversity.” In what way does Strayer’s textbook,  Ways of the World , reflect Hallmark 5 of the SND de Namur?             I believe that Strayer did embrace the gift of diversity in his book. I feel he stated what he believed and the different topics and beliefs that surface when it come to history. The book itself has a lot of information and different diverse topics. In my opinion, I think he was a very diverse writer when he wrote this particular book. He mentions a lot of different cultures and people of different time eras. Also, the photographs that he provides in the book are very diverse and have a lot of culture behind it. Although Strayer is a male he really did make the book diverse we get to see feminism in the book as well. Reading 16,17,18,19

Reading about the connections that the various Atlantic revolutionaries shared was interesting and reading that the Atlantic basin had become a world of intellectual and cultural exchange.it was interesting to see how this idea were driven from the European enlightenment and it was shared across the ocean through newspaper and books. It’s interesting to me to read this thing because I really get to see how much history has changed or how in a way it still remains the same. I really enjoyed reading the French revolution in depth and see how everything started because I remember in high school studying about it, but I didn’t really remember a lot.
