Reading 3

Reading 3 Learning about china its history and culture was very interesting. One think that I found interesting was to see the difference between the Western Roman Empire and how china regained its unity under the Sui dynasty. During a time china was one of the most urbanized country in the world. I also found interesting how Strayer mentions that Confucian writers highlighted the subordination of women to men and the need to keep males and females separate in every domain of life. It was interesting to see how the gender roles where adapted in the past. It was interesting to see how masculinity was adapted. The whole china culture was interesting to learn what they country went through in regards with Korea and Vietnam. It was nice to see how the development of Christianity expanded throughout Europe and it became the European faith.it is nice to see how people adapte...

Reading 2

Reading 2 The readings for this week were really interesting learning about the second wave civilizations between the Middle East, India and china were interesting and the fact that this states have nothing in common. It was nice to see how each states makes their own political views. Its crazy to see how a lot of these states are so different from each other like how is that ever possible. It’s just something that I always wonderer about. Learning about the Persian and Greek Empires It was interesting to read how much of what we know about Persia comes from the Greeks because Persia has little written records. When the Greeks introduced the alphabet it influenced languages across Europe. The Persian also adopted gods from the Greeks. And the Greeks and Persian when into battle against each other in the battle of Thermopylae. Confucius was someone that was very significant to the Chinese culture. Its interesting to see read how Confucius believed that he found the key to the...

History reading 1 yay done

History reading 1 Reading about the early people and the early civilizations was very interesting due to the fact that I got to read how humans took over the world from the beginning of time. The fist chapter covered really important facts and dates regarding how the start of the early human societies began to form. Its nice to learn how the Paleolithic’s and Neolithic’s used their hunting and gathering techniques and basically formed the beginning of the early agricultural societies. It really got me thinking how many of us need the help of technology to do a lot of thinks when our ancestors did everything by hand and survived by doing so. It just made me think that we relay a lot on things when the early people did everything by themselves. Society really has change drastically. Learning about the early migrations and how the book mentions, “Africa almost certainly was the place where the human revolution occurred, where culture defined as learned or invented ways o...
